Shelter and assisting in providing basic needs are such essential jobs as we clearly have seen through the Pandemic . I really resonated with the comment she made , “when I approach my work as though it were a high calling, that the work is better and I'm happier. “ I think that when we loose sight that we are in a job for a reason and with a purpose we can quickly become disgruntled and ungrateful. However, as we see in this video this investment in the work and knowing that there is purpose allows us to be reminded that all that we do is and should be as onto God. When we operate in that manner, it allows us see beyond the day in and day out.As believers we should use every opportunity of life to include God in that moment and yet many atimes we want to compartamentalize our lives. His word says “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”1 Peter 5:7. Many times or work is worrisome, tiring and overwhelming but we choose to do it alone. God wants us to engage him in our difficulty and ask for guidance.

I raised my children while working, went to school while working and sometimes I feel guilty about that. But more and more I recognize that my job truly is a gift from the Lord. When I think about what I have achieved and how I've been blessed on the job and I don't actually have a college degree I'm amazed at What the Lord Has Done. Not that I haven't worked hard I have but it's only through him and by him that I am in the place where I am right now

(a small town in Southwestern PA). there are SO many gorgeous historic (mostly Victorian and Edwardian) homes in my town, that if restored would of course, look amazing and taken back to their original glory, but would also, improve the community as a whole. ..how blessed you are, to be able to do this where you live. I believe Mr Butts was from Texas. I have heard other people from parts of Texas speak similarly. Sometimes people from different parts of the country pronounce things differently than we do. Even in Illinois where I live. I grew up around Chicago where many people pronounce th as d. As in "dat's duh way ta do it". While downstate we tend to warsh the clothes, and in Boston they might talk about Fidel Castro from Cuber. There was an old joke about the Realtor showing a house to a couple from the south. The Realtor said, "this house is without a flaw". They responded, "if it ain't got a flaw, what d' y'all stand on?" (floor). As for Mr Butts pronunciation, I think the normal rule in English is a vowel followed by a consonant followed by a vowel is usually long. Example, start or stare. So Sarah with a long a makes some sense, even though I don't pronounce it that way.

It looks like someone already touched on this subject, but I'd like to add something to it. I have no arms, too and the truth from the Bible gave me amazing hope. The answers to all those questions like why we suffer and is it always going to be this way can be found on the website I listed below. It's a great feeling to know that God is not the one to be blamed for our suffering and it's even better to know that He will put an end to it all.
